Angie-Anjali Rajendra Shirole-Singh
Ms. Angie-Anjali (“Angie”) Rajendra Shirole Singh, President and CEO of Plural Publishing, Inc., has over twenty years of publishing experience. She is a co-founder with her late-husband, Dr. Sadanand Singh of Plural Publishing Inc. a San Diego based company and leading publisher in Speech and Language Science and Pathologies (“SLP”). The company also holds a leadership position in Audiology publishing and has an expanding presence in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
Angie’s career began in 1990 at Singular Publishing Inc, a predecessor SLP venture where her responsibilities were in office management and book and journal production and distribution. She attended Stanford University Publishing advanced courses in Palo Alto. Angie’s many contributions, particularly in her impressive negotiating skills, allowed Singular to achieve an extraordinary domestic and international compounded sustained revenue growth rate of over 25% and solid profitability. The company was sold to Thomson (now Cengage) in 1999.
In 2001, Angie helped her husband start-up ContentScan, a web-based bibliographic indexing and research tool and gateway to scholarly information for the pure and applied sciences. This breakthrough software and database application was sold to ProQuest in 2005.
Angie has repeatedly been recognized for her devotion and generosity toward SLP programs and minority scholarships. She has earned the respect of many within the SLP and Audiology communities and she currently sits on the Board of the American Speech and Hearing Association Foundation. The MH Paradox Foundation is grateful for her agreement to join the leadership of the executive Board of Directors, bringing her years of broad experience in both health care related industry and philanthropy.
